I was a featured soloist at the First World Violoncello Congress in Washington, D.C in 1988 and in a featured faculty trio for the World College Chamber Music Conference in Berlin in 1995. She was also a principal cellist for the World Orchestra and the National Youth Orchestra of Venezuela, among others. Currently, Ms. Circe D. is the principal cellist with the Pacific Opera Project. She also is a Teaching Artist for the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Whittier Youth Orchestra, and Santa Monica Conservatory of Music, and is the conductor of the Watts-Willowbrook Conservatory Youth Orchestra and Harmony Project at Longfellow Elementary School. That being the case, I create detailed plans for the students week as far as practice is concerned. There will be listenings on each weeks assignments, detailed notes so as to make sure the student has all the necessary information to best succeed during the week between lessons. I have been playing the violin since I was 3, my father was my first violin teacher.  Music is a big part of my life and I do enjoy performing and teaching very much.  I love sharing my music knowledge with others, seeing my students making progress and achieving their goals is priceless and makes my life more worth living.  I have performed as violin soloist, chamber musician and concertmaster of orchestras, those are valuable experiences I had in life that I'd love to pass on to others.  I have also had student recitals every year in the past ten years, my students and I have toured and performed in China. My teaching method books involve All for Strings and Suzuki books. Suzuki books are categorized from level 1-10, level 8-10 is the equivalent of college level repertoire. I currently have students on level 1-8. In addition, I also look for individual method books and outside repertoire of Suzuki once the student is ready to move at a faster pace or in need of additional help. He studied violin and music composition at the New England Conservatory, Interlochen Arts Academy, the Tanglewood Institute, and Northwestern University.
