Young musicians have hard time to focus in a long period of time and practicing their own. I have experience teaching in many facets. I began working with kids as a full-time nanny and then went into teaching in a Kindergarten classroom, and proceeded to teaching music for all ages. I am very intuitive and experienced with seeing where a student is at, meeting their needs as a teacher and student individually first, and then growing them into a musician from there. I try my best to keep lessons fun, especially with the younger students. For example, Sometimes we play music games, sometimes we walk/dance to learn about rhythm, sometimes we sing. I also have small group practices each month to combine students at about the same level, they play togher, they perform for each other, make constructive suggestions and encourage each other. For the beginner we start of with a Method book that fits their age and personaity and go from there.
