Since then, I have only occasionally taught in my home, and moreso spent time exploring my own relationship to music, my body's relationship to the instrument, and to my sound. Creating a safe environment where the student is comfortable making mistakes is vital, because making mistakes is a vital component to learning how to play an instrument. I am currently hired as the Esmond United Methodist Church pianist, and has been a music provider for the Rochelle United Methodist Church in their handbell choir, singing choir, and played violin and clarinet in small ensembles during church services.
