I began teaching in 2017 at the Arboretum Music School in Waunakee, though I left that position for my studies in Vienna. Since then, I have only occasionally taught in my home, and moreso spent time exploring my own relationship to music, my body's relationship to the instrument, and to my sound. I have been teaching privately since 2006 and in public schools since 2011. I have high expectations of my students and encourage them to have fun in their lessons. As my students grow, I tailor their repertoire to fit their needs and interests. I teach child and adult students. It's never too late to learn! Read More

I love being a musician, and I try to impart a bit of that passion in each lesson. I encourage my students to be excited about the music because that is what will motivate that student to practice and make the process enjoyable. I try to present new ideas clearly and in small chunks to help students feel capable and successful. I always want to show my students that they are capable of more than they realize! Read More
Instruments: Piano, Violin, Harp
My teaching experience started in high school when I started teaching harp and piano part time. I had a close relationship with my music teachers growing up and I hope to establish the same type of relationship with my own students as I have with previous ones. It's also important that there is a balance between fun and time put in. Without practice, one cannot play an instrument well. I hope to encourage my students to practice so that they accomplish a level of success that motivates them to continue enjoying music for the rest of their life. Read More
