My musical background is traditional and my violin teaching methods reflect this. All students I teach learn scales, theory and musical reading as part of their study program. Although the focus of my teaching is classical music I can also help students with most other types of genres. As students progress in their learning the difficulty of the scales, etudes and music increases. I'm a passionate and caring music educator and I love inspiring those around me to feel comfortable harnessing their expressive energy and manifesting it into art in their lives, specifically music. I study Music Theory and Composition at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater with strong foundations in music theory, improvisation, and intuitive integration of sound and imagination. I recently completed my Doctor of Musical Arts in Flute Performance at the University of Kansas where I served as the Graduate Teaching Assistant. Since then, I have only occasionally taught in my home, and moreso spent time exploring my own relationship to music, my body's relationship to the instrument, and to my sound.
