I give Suzuki violin, viola and cello lessons. I also use classical method with scales, etudes and solo pieces in my teaching as another option. With fiddle students I use Ann Wheeler method books. My piano students use Faber piano series. My Guitar students use Hal Leonard guitar method and guitar song collections. For beginning students, I start with the Suzuki Method, a learning tool that I myself was taught as a beginner. Once the student has gained confidence and ease on the instrument, I delve into standard solo repertoire, beginning with Classical era pieces to work on tone, intonation, and bow control, then moving towards more Romantic Era pieces as well as technically advanced show pieces. When I was four years old, I sat down at the piano for the first time. The first time I pressed a key, I knew that I had a passion for music that would span my lifetime. A few years later, I took up flute and violin and joined local ensembles. I have traveled around the west coast performing classical, jazz, pop, and folk music.
