I teach violin for all levels and beginner/intermediate piano. I encourage all my students to learn how to read music and have a basic understanding of theory. Nothing is more rewarding than seeing one of my students develop a passion for music! I strive to find an individual approach to each student and it's important that each student progresses at his or her own pace. I encourage this by setting realistic goals for my students at each lesson. While daily practice is necessary for quicker progress, not every student has the time for it. I play and teach piano, upright bass, bass guitar and a range of other instruments. The first book of Suzuki is taught mainly by ear, while in the background I am also teaching rhythm with the Essential Elements material. With production songwriting and guitar, I like to work on basic chord shapes, chord changes and basic music theory so the student can understand the concepts clearly. Read More
