For beginning students, I typically start with Hal Leonard's Essential Elements, Suzuki, and easy scales. Once the student has progressed and appears to grasp the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce etudes and solo pieces. I also teach students elementary music theory related to the pieces they are learning. For advanced students, I focus more on their technique and performance. I'm a violin/viola teacher who is very dedicated and passionate about music and playing. I am also very kind to children in a fun and encouraging way to learn. I graduated from University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Music in violin performance. I continued to Peabody Conservatory of Music, University of Johns Hopkins in Baltimore for Master of Music and Graduate Performance Diploma in violin performance. I have been teaching since 1984 and now I teach from my home studio. I am not trying to make my students the best in the world but I want them to love music. My students have accomplished many goals. They have all had the chance to perform in recitals.
