Once student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce solo repertoire appropriate such as Suzuki for their first performance. For adults, I try to find out what the student is interested in or what goals they aim for. For young, beginner students, I start them off with a method book like "All for Strings," which teaches first by rote.
