The combination of the 2 allows there to be an understanding of the correct technique and an immediate opportunity for application. I teach from a flexible curriculum depending on the student's goals and interests. If someone wants to learn technique, music theory, songwriting, how to play Taylor Swift songs, arranging, composing, confidence, et cetera we will work on what is driving them to take lessons and learn! I recently graduated from the Mannes School of Music in New York City with a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance, studying with Rebecca Fischer. I grew up in Northern Virginia and started the violin and piano when I was 3 years old. Since moving to New York, I have had the privilege to perform at Carnegie Hall with the Grammy Award Winning New York Youth Symphony, and Lincoln Center with the Mannes Orchestra, holding Concertmaster positions with both ensembles.
