Instruments: Voice
For all students we will work on breathing technique, vocal technique and applying those aspects into songs that they love to sing. If a student picks out a song that doesn't suit him/her, I will help them find the right song for them - building them a diverse repertoire that they can sing any time and any where, without any struggle. I have dedicated my life to studying and teaching Music, the most personal form of self expression. I began teaching one on one lessons with the vision of creating a supportive teaching space where students can work toward finding their inner voice and developing their musical expression. My piano and voice students range greatly in age, experience and their motivations to learn including natural born performers, shy beginners, recreational and professional musicians. Read More

Incidentally, I started teaching when I was still learning myself; in grade-school, on the recorder. I learned early on that my ability to play by memory and through ear afforded me a stark intuitive advantage over peers my own age; naturally, they came to me during our shared lessons to inquire about my talent. As a young teacher I'm not intimidating but up to date with the younger students. With the older students I am informative and helpful wrapped in grace, class and respect! Read More

I don’t believe one method fits all! I believe each person is an individual, so students should be taught as who they are with their own pace. I emphasize on communication, motivation, and patience for both piano and singing. Basically these 3 elements are missing in our society, especially young students. Everything is being promoted as “Express Way” now as learning process without the middle part, but this won’t work for piano or singing. Read More
Instruments: Guitar Voice
With over ten years of experience as a songwriter, performer, teacher, and recording artist, I have harnessed my passion for music, using it as an effective tool in empowering youth and adults from all over the world to build self-confidence through self-expression. Most recently, I developed a community music learning program which serves to give back to the community through music lessons and workshops that create accessibility and opportunity for beginners to pick up an instrument or write a song, to build upon musical self-expression. Instruments: Voice
I always provide my students with recordings of the exercises we do in class, so that they can practice during the week. I constantly show images of the vocal instrument, Its really important for the student to understand their mechanism, and when teaching young people I share the same information but using a more digestible vocabular. For the songs, whenever its possible, we use the music score, so that I can introduce music theory little by little. Read More
