The Joining Hands Project in Israel combined the teaching and performance of both Arabic and Jewish music to children of all backgrounds in Israel, with the purpose of spreading inclusion and celebration of differences. This book introduces the student to the instrument in the most practical way while making it fun, and it has the student reading music from the beginning, which I find very important.
