I usually play with the student to ensure that they know I am working just as much as they are. Eichelberger was selected for the College Band Directors National Association (CBDNA) Southeast Intercollegiate Honors Band in 2000 and 2002 being the first trombonist selected from the university in almost 10yrs. Mr. Eichelberger is also a former member of the U.S. Marines Basic Musician Enlistment Program where he studied at the Armed Forces School of Music in Norfolk, Virginia. Mr. Eichelberger also holds a Bachelor of Music in Jaz Studies from Florida Memorial University (2011) and a Masters of Arts in Instrumental Conducting from Morgan State University (2020). Read More

I teach in a style that helps children isolate problem areas, so that they can practice specific excerpts they are struggling with. I received a BM in Composition from SUNY Fredonia where I served on the executive board for Ethos New Music Society and taught private bass lessons to non-music majors. In May 2013, I was awarded the Ethos Laureate Prize in Composition for my chamber opera Randalls Leaf and, most recently, won Peabody's Macht Orchestra Composition Competition in 2015 forPillars, erased. I love playing and teaching the trumpet. I spent much of my time growing up involved in various musical endeavors, and performed with numerous ensembles in college. While I did not pursue a music degree, I continued to study under professional musicians, and worked diligently at my craft. Music is not my career, but it is a passion that I enjoy greatly outside of my DC office.
