Begining Students I work on creating a nice tone and understanding of instrument as a whole.  I use standard of excellence training books and move on depending on students willingness and skill. Teach Jazz Improv to all levels.  Concentrate on jazz vocabulary, expression, style, and creating in the moment. Also teach meditation which leads to better practice and healthier living. I was born in the Ukraine. I received a degree from the Conservatory of music of Lviv in the Ukraine, where studied trombone. I was performed in Symphonic Band, Brass Ensemble, and the Philharmonic Orchestra. I was previously a band director and music educator in the Ukraine. The methods that I would typically use are the Arbans complete Conservatory method for trumpet and Cornet. Schlossberg´s Daily Drills and Studies, Clarkes method and Caruso. I have been studying these four methods quite some time now and understand not only the instruction on the page but the purpose of the excercise itself. I use these series until a student has progressed enough at the fundamentals of playing that specific functions can be addressed.
