I have been regularly teaching Euphonium, Tuba, and Trombone since 2020. I was primary Euphonium staff at 3 High Schools and 5 middle schools. I've taught ages 10-70, and my students regualrly find success at both solo and ensemble competitions, as well as regional and all state bands. I teach a wide range of materials, from method books and solos, to pop songs and marching tunes. My teaching experience starts even while I was in high school. I would volunteer to help the middle school band students to coach them and get them ready for competitions. I also volunteered with the Seattle Music Partners where we went into schools that lost their music program and we taught students after school as their only means of connection to this art in schools. I began teaching privately in high school when a family friend had asked me to teach their beginner son music and trumpet. Since then, I have had the opportunity to teach all sorts of people ranging from as young as 6 years old, to 64 years old. Something I prioritize in my teaching is the development of efficient problem-solving skills.
