I am a motivated instruction who loves passing on to students the enjoyment of music and the skills neccessary to perform. I have been bass trombonist with the National Orchestra in Lima, Peru; and I am currently bass trombonist in the World Civic Orchestra, the American Chamber Orchestra, the St. Thomas Orchestra and the Collegium Westchester; as well as several Swing Big Bands, including the Sonny Caroll Orchestra, and the Fairfield Counts. I have been a music teacher since 1972, teaching classroom music, as well as being a Choir and Band Director, in Vernon, Glastonbury and West Hartford. Especially popular were my guitar and music of the theater classes. I have also directed various musicals on the Middle School level, such as You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown, Fiddler on the Roof, Babes in Arms, Oliver and others. I have been teaching for more than 30 years, mostly in the public schools as well as privately. I have instructed large groups and ensembles, as well as smaller musical groups in and out of the public schools. Performing in various Jazz groups throughout the state has enhanced my teaching knowledge in the field of music education.
