My teaching experience began in my junior year of high school (2009) when I was asked by younger students if I could teach them outside of school. I enjoyed teaching these students, their siblings, and other students up until last year (2013) when my last student left for college. I took a year off from teaching in order to complete my college degree at Towson University, and now that I have graduated I am looking to share my knowledge, experience, work ethic, and passion for music, with students that have a burning desire to pursue music either as a living, or a hobby. Nothing is more rewarding than seeing one of my students develop a passion for music! Therefore, it's important that each student progresses at his or her own pace and is learning things that interest them on a fundamental level. I encourage this by setting realistic goals for my students at each lesson. Acknowledging accomplishments helps fuel a students desire to progress, and makes students eager to learn more. Most of my experience with teaching has taken place while traveling on the road and helping individuals prepare for recording sessions. However for more than 10 years now, I've rendered my services at neighborhood schools (elementary and high school); music workshops; private homes; and local churches; working with young people as an assistant teacher, private music teacher and/ or teaching artist.
