I am a driven performer, as well as an inspired instructor who learns just as much from his students as they do from him. In 2014, I graduated from Towson University with a Bachelor of Music degree in Jazz/Commercial Trombone Performance. I have toured all over the country playing in many different bands, allowing me to experience many things in life that I never would have without music. I enjoy performing in both the Jazz/Commercial world, and the Classical world. I have also had the privilege to record with multiple bands. Experiencing the classical scene playing in symphony halls, and the jazz/commercial scene by playing in clubs and even on street corners, has given me the opportunity to become a well rounded performing, musician, and teacher.
My teaching experience began in my junior year of high school (2009) when I was asked by younger students if I could teach them outside of school. I enjoyed teaching these students, their siblings, and other students up until last year (2013) when my last student left for college. I took a year off from teaching in order to complete my college degree at Towson University, and now that I have graduated I am looking to share my knowledge, experience, work ethic, and passion for music, with students that have a burning desire to pursue music either as a living, or a hobby. Building a students' confidence in themself, and making sure that they enjoy the music they are playing, are key points I like to address in my students. My goal is to take the spark that was ignited inside of a young musician when they first began playing music, and nurture it into a raging fire! I hope to motivate my students so that they can face music, and life, with strength and conviction.
For beginners, the fundamentals are essential to building a strong musical foundation. These include the technical aspects of playing the horn, as well as listening to all forms of music in a concentrated manner in order to enable the student to not just PLAY, but to also LISTEN. Once these fundamentals have progressed, I like to introduce small amounts of music theory so that the student gain a better understanding of everything they play. For adults, every individual learns in unique ways. Simply having a conversation with the student about what in music they enjoy and want to get better at, allows me to create a unique lesson plan just for them!
Every student has a hunger for music, a hunger to progress and become more experienced and proficient; my job is to teach a student how to feed that hunger. Each student has a different drive and different goals, therefore, each students' lesson is unique! I encourage students to set their own goals in order to challenge, and motivate themselves. When a student achieves a goal, acknowledging this stride is paramount to building confidence and motivation. Every student is different, and I intend to give each student their own unique experience.

Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.
OkAre you sure that's your only availability? The more availability you easier it will be to arrange a teacher for you.
