I find that laying out preplanned expectations and milestones at the outset is often more for the teachers benefit than the students. I am an immensely passionate and dedicated musician who loves sharing the joy of music with others. Every child has their own way of learning. Some are visual, others aural, verbal or kinesthetic. As a teacher I will adapt my lessons to each child needs. The basic structure of the lesson is review/present the new concept, apply it and at the end of the lesson discuss the new given homework for the following lesson. I will go to the student pace.
