He earned the Master of Music degree in clarinet performance from the University of Akron and the Ph.D. in musicology from Kent State University. While at UC, I rediscovered my passion for music and felt a calling to share that passion with others in the best way I knew how: teaching. I have been teaching private lessons part time for almost a year. In that short time, my studio has grown to include seven students of varying skill levels. I believe that regular practice is important, and that practicing should be fun. I try to combine classical and modern music when teaching, as both are important to the development of a well rounded musician.
