While at ONU, I was a member of the Wind Orchestra, Symphony Orchestra, Marching Band, and Woodwind Ensemble. I was given opportunities to perform in these various ensembles on clarinet, bass clarinet, alto saxophone, tenor saxophone, and flute. I served as the principal clarinet of the Wind Orchestra and Symphony Orchestra, Instrumental Music Librarian, Wind Orchestra Ensemble Manager, and Wind Orchestra Assistant Conductor. He earned the Master of Music degree in clarinet performance from the University of Akron and the Ph.D. in musicology from Kent State University. I have been teaching private instrumental music lessons for two years now. I have gone through a four year degree program in which I've had the opportunity to gain peer teaching experience as well as teaching within various school districts for individual, small, and large ensemble settings. I have also been teaching dance at my mom's studio for the past 6 years. For younger students, I typically start teaching from Hal Leonard's Essential Elements, as it provides a comprehensive method for learning the basics on the saxophne. Once my students have mastered this material, I begin to introduce solo repertoire. For older students, I teach from etude books such as Selected Studies for Saxophone by H. Voxman or Jazz Conception by Jim Snidero. In addition to learning from etudes, students will develop their solo repertoire. Read More

I am a dedicated and enthusiastic music teacher. I have found my great passion in music and I love spreading the joy of music to my students. I feel great accomplishment in my students' improvement. I graduated from Bowling Green State University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Musical Arts degree my and a minor in recreation. I played in numerous ensembles at the university and had the opportunity to play for and study with many flute teachers, I gained something different from each experience. Read More
