My work extends beyond the stage, as I've had the privilege of recording and composing for acclaimed series like HBO's "Hacks" and Netflix's "Insiders." Collaborating with industry veterans such as Rob Lewis, known for his work with artists like Christina Aguilera, Fifth Harmony, and the Backstreet Boys, has been an inspiring part of my journey. Additionally, I've had the incredible opportunity to perform as a soloist with the Madrid Philharmonic Orchestra, presenting my composition "Espirales" and my piece "Murmullos," both of which received awards and were showcased at the prestigious Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando in Madrid, thanks to the support of the Fundacin Sax Ensemble. Instruments: Saxophone
I started playing music and specifically the saxophone in the fourth grade. I played all throughout middle school and high school. Outside of school, I took classes at the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music and was a member of the Jazz at Lincoln Center Youth Orchestra. I started playing the bass guitar my junior year in high school. I always used to hear music in the house growing up but I first became interested in music when I was around the age of five and heard Take Five by Paul Desmond playing on the radio in the car. My instruction focuses on fundamentals of the instrument which include: Concept of Sound, Tone Production, Technique, Embouchure, Breathing, Scales/Patterns, Equipment, etc. I also teach musical concepts/Theory which include: Reading, Rhythm, Time, 12 Key Centers, Chord/Scale Relation, Musicality/Expression, Jazz Improvisation, etc. Of course, each lesson is tailored to the individual student's current level and ability, as well as the students learning style. For younger students, we start with the fundamentals (as stated above) and add concepts as the student progresses. Read More

I'm an extremely dedicated and passionate performing artist, composer, and instructor with a BM in Jazz Studies from the USC Thornton School of Music. I love all aspects of playing, teaching, and writing music, but my favorite part is sharing my passion with others and watching a similar passion grow in themselves. I have been playing saxophone for about 12 years, flute and clarinet for 7, and drums and piano for the past 3 years (so I can only accept beginning drum and piano students.) I love all types of music and will work with you on any genre you want to work on while improving your overall facility on your instrument! Read More

My teaching experience dates back to high school. I would travel around the Imperial Valley County and teach kids who were in elementary school and junior high the basics of the saxophone and help them with any difficulties in the music that they were playing. As I grew older and learned more, I began to teach people who were older than me in high school and the underclassmen as well. Read More

I first began the art of teaching when I was in college teaching Chemistry. I know it may sound like it is not related, but teaching one subject helps you teach another! I led group Chemistry classes and continue to this day teaching chemistry to the high school and college level. However, after a full year of intense piano studies practicing 3-4 hours daily and studying under my 3 teachers, I felt finally ready to take on students in April of 2016. Read More
