For younger students, I typically start teaching from Hal Leonard's Essential Elements, as it provides a comprehensive method for learning the basics on the saxophne. Once my students have mastered this material, I begin to introduce solo repertoire. For older students, I teach from etude books such as Selected Studies for Saxophone by H. When I started college, I continued to teach flute lessons and I then began teach saxophone lessons as well. Hi! My name is Nash Randall and I just entered my second year at Ohio University dual majoring in Music Education and Performance. I was exposed to music since I was very young, starting from private piano lessons then expanding out to a multitude of other instruments like the flute and clarinet, as well as the trombone and voice, but my main instrument has always been the saxophone.
