I've been teaching music in many different capacities for eight years now. Most recently, I served as the music instructor/curriculum designer for Manhattan Youth at The Computer School. Privately, I've taught students of all ages and experience levels, with focuses on saxophone sound, technique, music theory, aural skills, reading music, and improvisation. My performance experience includes classical clarinet and saxophone repertoire, jazz, klezmer, funk, rock, rb, country, pop, disco, latin, and folk music, allowing me to relate to students from a broad range of interests and experience levels. Every student is different. I tailor my teaching style to fit the needs of and goals of each individual student musician. Beginning students, especially children, need more guidance and structure to the lessons to get started, but its still important to keep them interested , engaged and having fun, so Ill typically integrate lessons on basic technique with songs that children already know. For intermediate and advanced students I tend to take a more flexible approach, paying special attention to what the student wants to get out of the lessons. Read More

I am a third-year undergrad at NYU, studying Music Education with a concentration in instrumental performanceand I love it! Currently, I am working on the last of my classwork before student teaching full time. I hope to graduate in May 2024 with a B.M. in Music Education and my NYSED pK-12 certification.
