My students are also encouraged to have recitals twice a year. I organize activities such as concert, performance, and exams. I began teaching my first piano student when I was 14 years old. I have since enjoyed teaching in many different ways. I've taught private students, homeschool choruses, pre-K-8th grade (using music curriculum that I created), 8th grade science students, large choirs of beautiful angelic children's voices, adult church choirs, youth and adult bands, gospel choirs, reading literacy students,and soldier medicshow to prepare for their responsibilities. Ever since I was a child I had wanted to be a teacher. When I got to Central Piedmont Community College I focused on music education because I knew I wanted to teach music theory in college. After transferring to Wingate University I began studying choral music education because I was fascinated byhow the voice works and blends with other voices in a choir situation. I have had the opportunity to study rock bass, jazz bass, classical guitar, piano, and even private voice lessons from private lessons all the way up through college level lessons and these lessons have given me such a drive and passion for not only music, but music education.
