I had a wonderful opportunity to start teaching piano at the same place that I took piano throughout high school KD Music Arts, about 8 years ago. Since then, Ive taught piano and voice to students a variety of ageskids and adults! I love arranging my younger students favorite songs that they hear on the radio so they can play them on the piano, sometimes even playing rhythm video games on my Nintendo 3DS to brush up on their music theory skills :) I want my students to finish a lesson feeling like the possibilities that they have with music are endless. To me, it is important that I meet each student exactly where they are at. Each student is unique and no two paths will be the same, so my instruction varies from student to student. Typically with the younger students, I do like to incorporate a lot of games, challenges, and rewards to help them find their motivation. I began my performance career in Ukraine, when I joined a touring musical group called Neposedi. Since I had immigrated to the United States, I have joined several bands and ensembles at churches and performed at private conferences and conventions. This past spring, I ranked third place in the NATS (National Association of Teachers of Singing) vocal competition. In the fall of 2021, I received the Muccianti Award from Casa Italia Chicago, In the Winter of 2021, I received the first place runner up Judges Award from Casa Italia as well. Read More

I always knew I wanted to study music, and chose Illinois State to do so. While there, I participated in musicals, as well as concert choir and the women's elite chorus "Belle Voix." Since college, I have been writing original cabarets and performing live around the city of Chicago. A very important aspect to my enjoyment of all of these pursuits is the degree to which they actually connect and overlap with many other topics and disciplines- science, mathematics, visual art, language and sociology all intersect with music at one point or another.
