My music career started at the age five. I started small group piano lessons and theory classes. I continued lessons through elementary school and would perform at recitals. In the third grade I joined my school district's orchestra. My instrument of choice was the violin. I played in the orchestra until I graduated from elementary school and started private lessons in high school. My high school did not have an orchestra so I joined the concert band and started playing the flute. Read More

Handels Messiah with Sinfonia da Camera Chamber Orchestra, and soloing with Concerto Urbano Baroque Ensemble. I began teaching while I was in High School and I would teach the younger students who were freshman and sophomores the tenor saxophone. Once I went to Eastman, I taught several people throughout the course of the four years there. I beleive that, particulalry when teaching the saxophone and flute, a mix of classical fundamental technique is very important as well as incorporating the jazz or rock repertoire.
