I am a dedicated teacher who enjoys working with students of all levels. I graduated from the Hartt School of Music of the University of Hartford in 2013 with a Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance. The operatic roles that I performed while at the Hartt School include Leila in Gilbert and Sullivan’s Iolanthe and The Strawberry Woman in Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess. Since graduating from the Hartt School, I have sung roles with Hartford Opera Theater in Hartford, CT as well as Haymarket Opera Company in Chicago, IL, among others. Read More

My teaching experience is rather diverse. I started teaching private lessons thirty years ago and I always loved sharing what I knew with others. I've never stopped teaching private lessons, but I've also taught group lessons and music classes in private schools, I've taught adult classes and I've taught college classes at two schools in New Jersey. I like to combine fundamentals of music with showing students what I'm currently up to with the main goal of getting the student to be able to play what he or she wants to as soon as possible. I encourage parents to teach their children music from young age. Most of my students are kids from age 5-13, level starting from novice to intermediate. I have been practicing tutoring piano for 5 years and voice for 3 years. My teaching style not only includes standard piano playing skills, but also sheet music reading, musical hearing, and proper playing techniques. In regards to voice lessons, I am strongly convinced that knowing musical theory basics significantly improves understanding of vocal basics. Read More

My teaching experience started 1990 after received certificate from YAMAHA Music Academy in Japan. Encouraging regular practice on a consist schedule is one of key points I like to emphasis for younger students as it tends to help the student progress and gain a passion for the instrument. I started regularly teaching private lessons in 2019. I worked at the Wilmette Parks District, the Park District of Highland Park, Dynamic Music, and as a freelance teacher. I also was a music director for the Wilmette Children's Theatre, the Florida Repertory Theatre, and Highland Park's summer programming. I've been playing guitar since I was eight, piano since I was twelve, and I've been singing my whole life. I began teaching in 2012 when I was awarded the Graduate Assistant position at Western Michigan University. As a G.A., I was responsible for teaching non-music majors saxophone lessons, theory and ear-training, as well as coaching ensembles. I also taught flute and clarinet at Paramount Charter Academy in Kalamazoo, Michigan to middle school students. It was a very rewarding experience to teach people of various ages, ability levels, and goals, and allowed me to refine my teaching methods based on the needs of each student. I currently teach music theory, piano, saxophone, clarinet, flute, drums, and composition at Belle Arti Center for the Performing Arts in Queens, NY.
