After graduating from Hofstra University in 2014, I have had the opportunity to work in regional theatre and recording in and out of NY. I am currently an EMC working towards getting my Actors Equity union membership. I have the honor of having Broadway star Robert Cuccioli as a musical theatre acting coach, as well as renowned musical theatre coach Stephen Purdy. I work with people of all ages ranging from 4-100! Many of my students sing in bands or in karaoke and have never had a voice lesson before. My frequent students are guys who want to improve their vocal stamina while singing in a band, usually with guitar. I covered a little of this in previous paragraphs but I utilize the students ability to learn without the instrument in hand and utilize themselves as the instrument. One example of this is I tea h them to mark time with their feet and subdivide the best into qurters,eighths, etc... and then test them thru aural rhythmic dictation. I am a third-year undergrad at NYU, studying Music Education with a concentration in instrumental performanceand I love it! Currently, I am working on the last of my classwork before student teaching full time. I hope to graduate in May 2024 with a B.M. in Music Education and my NYSED pK-12 certification.
