I'm a passionate and motivated instructor who loves working with students and sharing my love of music and providing the best music education. I graduated with a BS in Music Ed and enrolled in many piano pedagogy classes. I have taught music education in Harford and Baltimore County Schools and taught band and orchestral instruments. M performances have included concertos, 4 hand music and chamber music. I attend BSO and Schriver Hall concerts and very active with the Music Teachers National Convention I like to improve my teaching and performing techniques and currently am coached by the BSO pianist Lura Johnson who also teaches at Peabody Conservator of Music. I started playing piano since I was in age 4. I graduated from Soochow University in Taiwan with my bachelor degree and Peabody Conservatory with a master degree and Graduate Performance Diploma. During the past two years, I got full assistantship in Accompanying at Peabody. I was grateful for having chances to perform recitals (solo chamber) in many different halls both in Taiwan and USA. While achievement is important to me, I believe that developing long-term skills is a far more significant. I prefer to emphasize skill-building and retention, and always want to make sure the student is enjoying the process. I prefer to set realistic short- and long-term goals for students at each lesson, and acknowledge their accomplishments with a system of rewards. Additionally, at the end of each year, I encourage my students' participation in a studio-wide voluntary recital, which is intended to showcase their growth and development over the course of the year as well as afford them an opportunity to perform in public.
