My degree is in classical vocal performance and I've lived all over the U.S. and maintained a teaching studio over the last 20+ years. Learning a musical indtrument requires a high level of concentration to learn and understand the music, and to memorize and perform it, so it can be helpful for students with other learnings or activities.
