I have been teaching students of all ages since high school. While studying at Eastman, I have been responsible for teaching lessons to college-aged students of varying levels and abilities. I have also taught young beginners and older students returning to music. I have found that my wide ranging and diverse knowledge of the piano repertoire helps to engage students and encourages a personal relationship with music. I plan every lesson differently based on the student. I first like to see what the students interests are as well as what goals they have in mind that they would like to achieve. For drummers and percussionists, I like to work out of the books, Stick Control and the Alfred method books because I believe that they develop the best technique.
