I have been teaching voice and piano for ten years; beginning with my senior year in high school and now as a professional musician. I have taught at several colleges, conservatories and universities; as well as frequently engaging students in master classes of both the Opera and Music Theater genres. I really enjoy meeting students where they are at-finding out their individual needs and goals; and designing a curriculum specific to each student! 

I think it's important for students to learn from all styles of music; but if they enjoy one style in particular, I believe it's important to study this style with them and help them to improve upon it. I love understanding what makes each individual unique; so I really listen to them and design a curriculum based on their likes; challenging them to appreciate all styles of music; and encouraging them to become fluent in various genres, time periods and methods. Sometimes, we start at the very beginning; sometimes; we continue the necessary building blocks of technique and artistry that contribute to making a well rounded artist.
