I have been teaching music lessons as a music therapist since 2007 and have much experience with adapted lessons for students with developmental disabilities and other limitations.  I started teaching typical lessons in addition to adapted lessons in 2013 and it has been an added joy for me. I've had the opportunity to play in various concert halls in the DFW area, including the Fort Worth Modern Art Museum, the Fort Worth Woman's Club, Nicholas Martin Hall, and Alkek Recital Hall. Trumpet: For beginning students who are children we begin with the basics. Learning how to blow, to buzz on the mouthpiece, getting a sound is key. Setting the embouchure I will listen to each student and adjust as needed.
