I am a positive and encouraging instructor, and emphasize proper technique, music theory, and fundamentals through a variety of musical styles ranging from classical to popular music. My students are all ages (I once had a student start at the age of 70!) and come from a variety of backgrounds and experiences. Allison is a flutist from Miami, FL, who has been playing since she was 9 years old. A graduate from University Miami with several scholarships, as well as finishing up her Master's under scholarship from University of North Texas, she has studied with some of the top instructors in the country. Her primary teachers are Trudy Kane, Mary Karen Clardy. She just recently finished a Teaching Fellowship at UNT, where she was responsible for teaching undergraduate non-performance majors (music ed and pre-music) and jazz saxophonists how to double on the flute. My passion for the guitar grew exponentially when I started getting better at it.
