My teaching experience dates back to my college days, as I began teaching privately during school and have 5+ years of experience. Encouraging regular practice on a consistent schedule is one of the key points I like to emphasize for younger students, as it tends to help the student progress and gain a passion for the instrument. I've also found that a combination of classical and modern music can go a long way in helping students enjoy the piano and motivate them to practice and continue to learn. Read More

Despite his young age, and with a virtuosic personal style, Moshe appears to be one of the most promising pianists among the new generation of Israeli jazz musicians. He is a graduate of Israels Academy of Music, and has played both throughout Israel and abroad with drummer Manu Katche, Producer Lary Klein, singer Mor Karbasi, the Tal Gamlieli Trio, the Yogev Shetrit Trio, and many others. Moshe Completed his Masters degree at the New England Conservatory while performing and recording around the world. Read More

My teaching style is versatile but with distinct steps. The first step is exposition, the second is reason and the third is connection. There is something so rewarding for me but more importantly for the student when their face opens, they say (and realize): "Oh! I get it...." The catharsis of experiencing music, understanding music and connecting with the music. This is the ideal sequence that I hope to achieve with any and all students. Read More

I believe that my style is really flexible. I think that everybody has a different way to learn so my style will vary based on the student. I also believe that the role of the teacher should the one of facilitating the student process but ultimately is the student who should dictate the style and the pace of the lesson. I believe also that listening is a really important part of music learning so I have my student listening to a lot of different music and also I play with them all the time so that they can hear and feel what is it to play together. When I meet with a student the first thing I try to find out is what they want from music lessons with me. I then assess their ability level and try to create a lesson plan that includes a lot of what they want to learn along with a bit of what I think they need to learn. I like to assign short term goals such as weekly or monthly homework that I can check up on in every lesson. Read More

Nothing is more rewarding than seeing one of my students develop a passion for music! Therefore, it's important that each student progresses at his or her own pace. I understand some student may not have much time to practice, so I encourage as long as you practice even once or twice per week , set a short goal even one line two lines on the music or couple of bars, progress little and slow but practice on the right way, building right correct position and get used of it still helpful then nothing or some incorrect habit. I often create a plan for my students with music materials such as these: scales and arpeggios, etudes, repertoire, sight-reading. Depending on the student, I can stick to a book we use and supplement it with my own handouts. Often students do not have theory or ear-training classes so I include some training in these areas so that it is easier for the student to memorize music and to learn it quicker. Read More
