Admittedly, I wasn't entirely sure how to take on such a job, but soon discovered that it was something that came naturally to me, and something I enjoyed doing. I have taught students of varying levels, from a complete beginner unable to read any music, to someone who was able to sightread proficiently. I have since worked at several studios around the metro-Detroit area and since 2012 have been teaching out of my home and online. For children, I do not use books or complicate bibliography to teach. I encourage children to discover music through their own curiosity. Using historical imagery and references of the natural world that surrounds us, is very effective way to help children understand music. Art contains emotion and intellect, so, my intention is that the kids explore that knowledge in a fun and joyful way. For adults, the teaching process is more focus to expand their abilities. I'm very friendly and patient. Learning music should be enjoyable, and never a burden. My students learn at their own pace and have fun doing it. I'm happy to work with youngters, providing they have a basic grasp of letters and numbers. Older beginners are some of my favorites, those who may have always wanted to learn and never had time before. It's never too early or late to bring music into your life, as it helps with concentration, dexterity, and relaxation! Read More

"To be inspired is great, TO INSPIRE is incredible." I love to inspire children and it gives me a great pleasure when they improve and do well. I started playing piano at a young age. My teacher was a very good pianist but a poor educator. Five years later I  found a new, wonderful teacher who inspired me to learn.
