Instruments: Piano
My teaching style revolves around engaging with students on a deeper level to explore the character and emotional essence of each musical work. Recognizing that every student possesses a unique personality and temperament, I adapt my approach to align with their individual needs and learning styles. I firmly believe that fostering a consistent practice routine, such as dedicating at least 20 minutes per day, not only enhances their piano skills but also instills valuable life habits that contribute to their overall development. One of my main goals as a teacher is to make the student excellent at practicing. Read More

If the student is comfortable, we move on to the passaggio (where our voices crack). We will work slowly to ensure flexibility, healthy habits and good release. Exercising this part of our voice is the gateway to the famous high notes everyone wants to learn to sing. The second half of the lesson consists of singing songs which the student may choose and some that I may recommend in order to work on specific development of the voice. Read More

I believe that choosing lesson material should always be a collaborative experience between student and teacher. Flexibility is one of my core values in teaching music, as I’ve found that each student has unique interests, goals, strengths, and weaknesses. Rather than going into lessons with a set curriculum, I like to give students some agency over what they’d like to learn while making sure to cover fundamentals as they apply along the way. Read More
