In April of 2014, I performed the role of Lady Billows in their 2014 production of Brittens Albert Herring. I try to find out what my student's goals are and try to arrange lesson plans that will work steadily towards their goals.  I try to give them knowledge about interesting facts and tips each week of something that they may not consider.  For younger students I try to show them how to practice so that they can prepare themselves appropriately each week.  Also I encourage students to use a metronome.I try to emphasize becoming adept at note reading. My teaching experience dates back to my undergraduate where I would teach and mentor incoming freshman placed in our studio. During the summers I would teach locally and fill in for past mentors who were on tour. This allowed me the fortune of teaching both beginners and advanced students. I strongly recommend consistent practice as I firmly believe an hour a day far out performs 5-7 on one day. A students growth is mostly contributed to ones own passion and discipline however as long as the student is willing to learn, then I am willing to help nurture their devotion and maturity to allow them to become as good of a instrumentalist that they wish to become. I received my Master’s degree from the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University, studying with former LA Philharmonic Principal cellist Peter Stumpf, and my bachelor’s degree at Temple University, studying with cellist Jeffrey Solow. As a chamber musician, I have studied with Menahem Pressler, Mark Kaplan, Jorja Fleezanis, and Kurt Muroki.
