Instruments: Piano Organ Synthesizer Music Keyboard
One of my greatest joys in life is seeing my students develope a passion for music and learning to play the piano. I like to make learning the piano fun and exciting for all . I believe that learning piano is a gift from God, and its my joy to bring that gift out in people. I have created my new profile music education system that is specifically tailored to each students needs and level of proficiency. Read More
Instruments: Voice
For beginners and young children, I generally demonstrate and have them practice breathing and certain terminology before we begin singing. Once we begin singing, I use the keyboard and have them practice matching pitch. We then do warm ups, and I teach them a couple phrases that will help with pronunciation and shaping their mouths to make certain sounds. For everyone, after we go over our usual warm ups, I like to find out their actual style and taste in music. Read More
Instruments: Piano Saxophone Flute Ukulele
I feel like I have a very loose teaching style that is grounded in the fundamentals. I do not put deadlines or timelines on any student's progress, and I also realize that each student's needs are unique to each and every person. I work to give each and every student a very solid understanding of music (being able to sit at a piano or pick up a horn and play music, be able to recognize and understand the theoretical aspects of music, aurally discern chord progression and when a wrong not is played to understand why chords move they way they do and be able to easily hear your own musitakes). Instruments: Piano Organ Keyboard
From there I take the student through Bach's inventions, Clementi and Kuhlau sonatinas, and childrens' music by Schumann, Tchaikovsky, and Mozart. If a student leans towards a preference for popular styles, I use the Faber and Faber Jazz and Blues series and acquaint the student with jazz chords and patterns. For adults or college students I generally use the Hal Leonard Adult Piano Course which is highly effective for older students. Read More

It's important to me first that my students enjoy their lessons. This means learning at their own pace, offering poisitive feedback, and using music they prefer. With this combination, they usually find music lessons fun and educational! Read More
Instruments: Guitar Bass Guitar
I actually have my own teaching method mixed in with the way I learned how to play guitar. I learned by learning basic scales and chord shapes. I try to be as interseting as possible so the student does not lose interest in playing. If the student has any questions. I make sure it is taken care of right away during the lesson. I assign homework and you are expected to practice atleast once a week or learning guitar will be harder and more frustrerating. Read More
Instruments: Guitar Drums
I will teach them at their pace and include songs at their level to make it interesting. In Dec I do Christmas Songs, Duets with my students and as they progress I will even pair them with a student on the same instrument to duet with or with a drum or guitar student (different from their instrument ) to get a band feel! That is always so awesome for all involved! Read More
