I just graduated from Temple University with my masters degree in Jazz Studies, but am versed in many styles of playing and composing. I received my Master’s degree from the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University, studying with former LA Philharmonic Principal cellist Peter Stumpf, and my bachelor’s degree at Temple University, studying with cellist Jeffrey Solow. I feel like I have a very loose teaching style that is grounded in the fundamentals. I do not put deadlines or timelines on any student's progress, and I also realize that each student's needs are unique to each and every person. I LOVE teaching and sharing the richness of our noble instrument. I have several decades of professional orchestral experience and private studies in music composition and performance practice. I am currently principal bass in a local orchestra and ensemble coordinator for a chamber orchestra. Injury prevention is a key component to my teaching.
