During my Air Force Years I attended the University of Maryland with my primary focus on musical theatre. Perhaps they only want to learn a particular piece that they are playing for Solo and Ensemble Contest. Perhaps it's an adult student that just wants to learn to play a particular piece for a special occasion. Lessons have to be tailored to to meet the individual students desires.
