ABOUT
Degrees / Training / Special Info:

BA University of Maryland, Musical Theatre

Overview:
I have spent my entire life working the arts.  In high school I was a member of choir, band, theatre and jazz band. During my Air Force Years I attended the University of Maryland with my primary focus on musical theatre. Traveling the world and working with multiple theatre organizations has been an expirence that few can say they have done. We strive not to only teach vocal but theory as well to make a more marketable student so that they may be more prepared for the future. As we live to say life is music.
EXPERIENCE
I began in teaching in early 2000 when I realized the joy of helping to develop others to use the natural gifts they were born with.  Most people don't realize how talented they really are until someone shows them. Some teachers follow a strict approach but we provide ourselves in taking students to the next level by customizing their lesson plan. We chart these out with the students best interests in mind. Not all students learn the same way and we have discovered a great deal of success using this tailored method.
METHODS USED
Since I teach people of all ages, I have learned that I cannot simply follow one type of lesson structure.  During my lessons I learn about not just the talent a person has but also about the person themselves.  Therefore, each lesson plan is tailored specific to that individual. The individual helps us to find the appropriate balance in our teaching method. When that balance has been obtained, only then can the student reach their fullest potential. Music is an art and a gift but requires time and dedication to be truly successful.
LESSON STYLE
During the initial lesson I sit down with my students and discuss exactly what they are looking to glean from private instruction.  Then we develop a game plan.  Some students achieve at a faster pace than others because talent develops differently from everyone.  I also ensure that every student has strong music theory foundation so that they understand singing isn't just what you hear but what you know in your mind. No student starts perfect and to try for perfection is really a lost cause. However, to continue to reach for that goal is always a good constant.

I was skeptical at first not knowing what I was getting my self into.. I am very happy that I forced myself to getting into voice lessons because Eli is awsome voice coach.. Very skillful and he helps you reach the goal you are trying to reach.. He is also very helpful with getting you to open up and come out of your shell and being heard.. I would and I already have recommended friends and family to sign up with Eli if there serious about siniging..

Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.
