I started teaching back in 2015. I began with teaching small groups of kids and teens ages 4 to 18 in the regional art center in Moscow, Russia. I had singing and puppeteering groups. My students had recitals on the art center stage, went to singing contests and did some recordings. Soon after starting teaching groups I got private students. I moved to US in 2017. Coming from an education background, I have several diverse experiences which qualify me to teach music. In college I majored in music education and developed tools to introduce beginners, both children and older amateurs, to music. I student taught students K-12 in choir, piano, theater, and general music. I began teaching guitar towards the end of my college curriculum when the guitar instructors at my university informed me they needed more teachers at their outside studios. I've consistently been teaching students both in private studios as well as in their homes for the last 10+ years. For beginner students, I typically start with the Hal Leonard Essential Elements book. For more advanced students I love using Rochut Melodious Etudes and Arban's Method book. For all students, learning and being comfortable with all scales and keys is an essential fundamental skill I teach.
