Instruments: Flute
I first started giving classes in Germany at the age of 19 to beginning students. I've continued to teach privately and in some schools. I make sure the right habits are practiced from the very beginning; warming up, sound exercises, technical exercises and the musical piece we're working on at the time. Metronome use is a must, specially starting out. I make sure the student gets excellent results in the shortest time possible, keeping the encouragement going by the student getting real results and advancement. Read More
Instruments: Piano Guitar Voice Acoustic Guitar
For beginners (piano) , 5 years and above, Hal Leonard, John Thompson, play, rest, play the piano together, For vocal students, I start by listening first to any song that they would like to sing, or find a song that will fit according to his/ her voice and make singing fun (at the beginning) and less stressing. Overall I make sure that my student is happy after a session. I hold annual recitals because that's where is see the ultimate produce of a one year hard practice. Read More

I also like to ask a lot of questions as a way to solidify concepts, so I'll say things like, "What other chord do you know that has these notes?" and so on. When people are forced to work out their problems' solutions themselves it prevents them from disengaging from the learning process, and there's nothing more rewarding than a student's face when they just figured something out all by themselves. When I meet with a student the first thing I try to find out is what they want from music lessons with me. I then assess their ability level and try to create a lesson plan that includes a lot of what they want to learn along with a bit of what I think they need to learn. I like to assign short term goals such as weekly or monthly homework that I can check up on in every lesson. Read More
Instruments: Piano Saxophone Clarinet
Music has always been my number 1 passion, and I have taught private music lessons since I was in high school. Since graduating with my Master's degree in 2011, I have become a certified music teacher for grades K-12. I modify all lessons depending on the student to best suite the students needs and prepare them for the maximum learning experience. Read More
Instruments: Drums
For beginner level students I start out with learning how to strike the drum as well as simple coordination exercises and intro level drum beats. After the student can grasp basic exercises, I introduce learning how to read music which will lead to reading out of various drum set instructional as well as technique books. For more advanced students I work out of books focusing on furthering coordination and technique, widening the ability to play different styles, chart reading with play alongs, soloing as well as the students interests. Instruments: Voice
I believe that singing should sound and feel natural. I work to find out how the students voice naturally wants to go , so that we aren't putting on a technique that doesn't fit. Like a finger print , each case is different and individual. I love to teach the student that the whole voice needs to function as one and not divide things into registers. We work on making a holistic sound that is true and expressive. Read More
