I am classicaly trained violinist with over four decades teaching experience in academia and privately. As a concert violinist I perform nationally and internationally in the United States and Europe. I welcome students of all skill levels from beginners to advanced players. My specialties are in the Classic, Romantic and contemporary repertoire. My teaching philosophy includes tailoring my teaching to individual students. I am fluent in Russian, German, French. I am comfortable teaching students of all ages, from 4 years and up.
I have played the violin since I was five and have spent over 20 years in the study of the instrument in my professional background.
My primary objective is to always focus my lessons around student's wants and needs, whether it is technique, training in music theory, or in basic fundamentals .
I have very interactive approach to teaching, employing practice and repetition during the lessons . I use etude and method books, as well as employing the technical scales and exersices for the advancement of students.
