  Music is my heart felt passion, and I thoroughly enjoy the oppotunities of sharing my musical knowledge and experiences with my students.  I am a degreed music teacher, who travels to teach in Raleigh and  surrounding areas including Knightdale, Wendel, Garner and Clayton.  I first began teaching guitar and piano during my music studies at the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, MS.  I have even been able to tour abroad in Venezuela, Brazil and Austria.  I have been fortunate to work with many wonderful musicians and conductors along the way, and would love to pass my knowledge on to you! As a musician, I have performed several self-financed and self-planned tours through the South, Northeast, and over the East Coast. I have performed over fifty concerts in 11 states, including North Carolina, Massachusetts, New York, New Hampshire, Vermont, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Maine, Mississippi, Georgia, and California. Every student is a snowflake, meaning everyone has their own unique preferences and dislikes. I customize my teaching style depending on the student and allow them to progress at their own pace. I like to first introduce students to basics and learn their tastes so I can modify their teaching regimen. I assign students "homework" or practice songs each week to ensure they are maintaining their routine, and if they deviate from this for some reason for more than two weeks, I immediately tune my teaching style to best motivate my students to want to practice.
