With multi-stylistic performance experience, I have had the pleasure of working with artists including Wheatus (UK No. 2 Billboard with "Teenage Dirtbag"), Mike Doughty (Soul Coughing), Andrew W.K., Viktor Kirly (NBC The Voice 2015 - Top 24), and Kate Nauta (Hollywood actress in Transporter 2 and the Game Plan). I have performed throughout the United States, Europe, and Brazil and was a member of the 42 date 2015 Wheatus 15th anniversary European tour. With the band, I also appeared on the Ray D'Arcy show, featured live on Ireland's premiere TV network RT One, and headlined the Trebur Open Air Festival (Germany) and Sligo Summer Festival (Ireland), playing for up to 10,000 people. Music is a great art form to express emotion and passion for something we cannot say in words. In church, I teach the choir to express their feelings of joyfulness when praising God. Outside church, I've taught privately in piano and voice for twelve years, five with Musika. I always encourge my students to practice with patience daily for 15-20 minutes in order to successfully progress. Most importantly, they must have fun, smile and play/sing with excitement. I do however encourage practice for all of my students and can work with you on making the best plan for yourself and your schedule. I began my teaching days informally when I was still a student at Fairport High School. Some family friends wanted to learn how to play saxophone, so I began teaching them. Next thing I knew, I had a small-time music studio in my parents' basement! I was teaching saxophone as well as jazz improvisation at that time. My experience as a voice teacher dates back to 1995. I was invited to teach several Masterclasses over the course of twenty years. The invitations came from institutions such as: The Oberlin Baroque Performance Institute, The Guildhall School of Music (London), The Cleveland Institute of Music, The Royal College of Music (London) and The Royal Conservatory of The Hague.
