When we learn how to speak, we also learn how to read and write in our language. I believe that the same is important for music. I use different books for adults and children. When I teach, I tend to forget the time. I always walk an extra mile, vocal lessons especially. I want my students to learn the basic techniques on how to use their vocal chords, where to place their voices, how to memorize, how to hold the mic, how to emcee, how to phrase, express, improvise which really needs time in learning. I consider the voice the most interesting instrument, considering how unique every voice is. It is a "living instrument", strongly influenced by so many physical, emotional and psychological factors. In my classes I love to help students exploring their voice beyond the simple concept of learning a melody and repeating it, showing them how to use their instrument at its full potential of musical expression.
