I am a clarinetist, student, and educator excited about sharing my knowledge of music and the clarinet with students. I completed my MM degree in the Spring of 2023 at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, College of Visual and Performing Arts, studying clarinet performance with Dr. Andy Hudson and Dr. Anthony Taylor. I have taught kids from ages 9 to fourteen, and am open to teaching anyone of any skill level. I also offer lessons in composition and recording/engineering music production. I encourage regular practice and make sure, especially for kids, that they leave every lesson with something new. I focus on learning how to be a successful musician all around, emphasizing on good technique, performance, and each student's individual sound. Despite the lack of formal degrees in a music related major, I've been certified to teach piano and have substituted for piano teachers on multiple occasions. I collaborate with local musicians that include drummers, guitarists, singers, and bassists and love to perform in front of audiences.
