For beginners, I like to start with getting to know the keys and their patterns. There are 7 different white keys and 5 different black keys and once you figure out the pattern, it becomes easy to identify the keys on the piano. I am a professional performer and vocal instructor, and have sung on professional stages such as Mount Baker Theater's repertory theater and the Whatcom Symphony opera series in Bellingham, Washington. I play the viola and violin, and graduated this past spring of 2017 from Luther College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in music. This fall I will continue my education at the University of Minnesota for my Masters of Music in Viola Performance.
